Ep. 36: Get free or die trying.
WATCH:
LISTEN:
It's Juneteenth, and there couldn’t have been a more perfect time to talk about something our community holds onto quite dearly—FREEDOM.
Nina Simone said: "I'll tell you what freedom is to me: no fear." It’s a powerful statement that we came to unpack today, among other things:
What does it look like to be our most authentic and best selves?
What does it look like to live, not just exist? To thrive, not just survive?
How do we come alive again?
Come join the conversation. We’d love to hear about your freedom journey.

EPISODE QUOTES:
Negative self talk, guilt, shame, not enoughness are probably recurring themes for everyone. You hear more and more people talk about anxiety these days as well, all of that. And I guess, you know, the question would be, what does it look like for us to be free from all of those things?
- Shaté Hayes
Sure, there is some degree of financial freedom that we want and generational wealth, and all of those things. But if I spent all my time just storing it all up and just opted for the safety of the shore, then what have I really left?
- Scott Hayes
I don't want to be a person who withdrew, when things were hard, and gave this ideal that I had this perfect life, or I was this perfect person. Because then when I try to live up to that ideal, I won't give myself permission to have all the things that come on the other side of taking a chance on myself.
