The thing that I've learned is you need them both, you need hustle, because you have to do the work. Faith without work is dead, you have to do the work. And you have to be wise enough to know that it's not actually all within your control, you need to have space for hope and faith.

Hustle is really in my nature. And I had this friend back in school and she would say, ‘Ashley, you got that internal hustle.’ And that always stuck with me. But I also knew that in my life, the things that I have accomplished are not solely because of hustle. It is absolutely me hoping that things will work out. It’s my faith in not only God, but in myself, that has helped me get through some incredibly tough times.
